Lomonosov Imperial Porcelain
Manufactory was the first porcelain manufactory in Russia, was founded
in 1744 in Saint - Petersburg by the Empress Elizabeth, daughter of
Peter the Great. Until October 1917 the Factory was called Imperial and
belonged to the Russian reigning dynasty, the House of Romanov. The
Factory provided porcelain ware to the Imperial Family and its close
circle of confidants.
Russian Imperial porcelain was rightfully considered to be the most
perfect in Europe, adorning tables of the Royal Heads.
