Nesting Dolls

We have one of the largest selections of Nesting Dolls on the West Cost. We bring more then 12000 dolls each year to our gallery in Leavenworth. The Matrioshka dolls are still one of our most favored items that we carry. We have dolls ranging from 1" to 28" tall and from 3pc to 30pc. Most dolls come in 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30pc and even a 40pc from time to time. Our dolls range from $9.00 to well over $1200.00 for each set. We also carry many collectible dolls that are painted by some of the most famous Matrioshka Artists. The collectible Matrioshka can’t be found on the streets of Moscow or St Petersburg. These dolls are done by artists that sale only to there clients. The collectible dolls range in price from $250.00 to well over $3000.00. You will find most of these Artists in the Matrioshka books that you will find in fine book stores.

Wood Boxes

Wood Boxes are most sat after the world over. We bring many different wood boxes out of Russia that are quite unique.
Folk craft enterprise makes some of the best wood boxes in Russia and was established on the basis of dissociated guilds, which existed since 1937.
The Articles are produced out of highly original material which natural growths on trunks and roots of birch trees, lime trees and alder trees as will as Rye straw and the woods from these trees. These appeared first at Vyatka Region long ago even in the 18^th century.
The main characteristic and expressive features of these articles, made out of the rare and beautiful materials are quite unique. The craftsmen make these items out of burl wood from birch, lime, and alder trees. They also do inlay with Rye straw on the surface of the boxes. Another trend of unique folk craft is geometrical style carving in wood. Once polished and varnished it added much to the beauty of the material.
The items that come from Folk Craft Enterprises are very much part of the Russian art and crafts that are very much part to the Russian culture today.

Russian Porcelain

Russian porcelain is known the world over for quality and its attention to detail. We import from the best in Russia. We always have on hand most of the different designs of Lomonosov and Gzhel.
We have one of the largest selections of Lomonosov porcelain on the west cost. Lomonosov has had some major price incises in the past year.

Khokhloma

North of Nizhniy Novgorod is a historical province famous for wood decoration mastership since olden times.
All through the merchant village of Khokhloma, where one of the most remarkable Russian folk crafts of panted tableware of wood appeared in the second half of the 17th century and later it was given the name of Khokhloma. Today Khokhloma is manufactured in the city of Semyonov. We always have on hand a wide selection of Khokhloma items.

Gus Khrustalny Crystal

The Crystal Factory of Gus-Khrustalny is well known in Russia and abroad as a traditional center of glass industry. A merchant Akim V. Maltsov founded the plant in 1756. It was the time when glass industry development began in Russia. We pick crystal 2 times a year from this factory.
The Gus–Khrustalny Crystal Factory was the first at the market to offer an affordable assortment of products made from plain glass - jars, carafes, stemware, glasses, etc. Famous carafes with rooster figurines inside, glass flower bouquets produced in Gus-Khrustalny became well known in Russia and all over the world. Lead crystal has been manufactured here from the moment of foundation. Maltsov crystal has quickly got recognition in Russian market. At the first All-Russian Fair of manufactured products Maltsov was rewarded with a Great Golden Medal for "an excellent crystal". High quality of Gus crystal was noticed in fore coming years. The birch bark items that we bring from Russia come from 3 different regains. For hundreds of years birch bark products have been made in Russia. Initially birch bark baskets and boxes are used for utility purposes such as to store or serve food. Properly made and treated birch bark jars can be used to preserve and store liquids such as milk or cream. The range of products made out of birch bark includes utility items, and baskets.
